Enrollment
The course offerings for the winter semester 2026/27 will be published on September 23, 2026 (for German courses on September 15, 2026 - Please note the information provided).
Enrollment begins on October 1, 2026.
Enrollment takes place exclusively via OPAL.
Instructions for enrolling in OPAL can be found here.
Until further notice, the following times apply for enrolment in the individual language groups:

1. Open OPAL
Select “TU Dresden” and log in with your ZIH access data.
2. Select language
Select the semester and desired language to view the available language courses.
3. Select a group
Select a group that matches your language level and fits into your schedule. Click on “Einschreiben” to join the group. Please make sure to only enroll in one course level per language!
4. Upload of proof of language proficiency
-applies only to German courses-
To participate in a German course, you are required to provide proof of your language proficiency. The only exception is level A1.1, for which no prior knowledge is required. You can upload this here once you are a member of the group.
5. View group content
After registering, you will have access to the group content in the corresponding course folder. You can also contact the supervisors using the integrated email function.
6. Deregister
If you change your mind, you can deregister from the selected group within the deregistration period.
