| Inhalte: | In this course, we plan to prepare students who wish to go abroad as well as those students with an interest in foreign cultures. During the course, selected films will be presented and evaluated and discussed in order to be able to determine the key aspects relating to the films conception and result and impact. In addition to improving the cultural understanding of the participants, listening comprehension skills and above all, free speech are priority focus areas. |

| Qualifikationsziele: | The course aims at strengthening students’ cultural understanding using a different approach - film.
Through the use of this medium more complicated cultural and historical connections can be better conveyed and understood, because just by learning a language one often cannot understand the cultural background.
In this course, we plan to prepare students who wish to go abroad as well as those students with an interest in foreign cultures.
During the course, selected films will be presented and evaluated and discussed in order to be able to determine the key aspects relating to the films conception and result and impact. In addition to improving the cultural understanding of the participants, listening comprehension skills and above all, free speech are priority focus areas. On conclusion of this course students will, through the medium of film, have a better understanding of the various Anglo-Saxon cultures and the national pecularities. In addition, through trainer input and feedback, should be able to exhibit B2+ English language ability in spoken skills. Previous knowledge of Anglo-Saxon culture or film not required. |
