| Contents: | The course deals with topics from the history of Spain, the political and administrative structure of the country, questions of the current economic, political and cultural development of the country or individual regions (e.g. Basque Country, Catalonia); as well as aspects of Spanish foreign policy. |
| Prerequisite: | B1+ or proof of knowledge through a placement test. |

| Frequency of the course: | WiSe + SoSe (The course takes place every three semesters alternately in the summer semester and in the winter semester.) |

| Qualification goals: | The students have the ability to study independently and produce work-related written and oral communication in Spanish at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The students can largely understand complex scientific and job-related written or oral technical texts, express them clearly and fluently in detail and using complex linguistic structures on selected topics in their field, use a variety of strategies to ensure understanding. The students have intercultural skills. |
